I've had many emails over the years asking me to play online librarian, and back in the days when it was actually kind of challenging to find information online and I was much less crabby, I would often try to help, but this one took the cake:

I'm tempted to reply, "please send payment first."

I used to get that a lot from international graduate students, on the topic of my thesis. It would be like: please send me the solution to this complex and detailed problem (which is clearly an exam question of some sort). The arrogance of people is astounding sometimes.

And a particular shame in this case, because what a great book to actually read for yourself.
