I've always read banned books!
From Jen Robinson's page, I went to vote for my favorite banned book. Like many people, I chose Lois Lowry - but not The Giver. I chose Anastasia Krupnik, which has been one of my favorite books for about thirty years.
(It was a, admittedly strange, relief to find one book I really, really love on that list. Do I have bad taste in banned books?)
To give some idea of how much I love Anastasia Krupnik, I once, as an adult mind you, turned a piece of it into a monologue for an acting class. Can you guess which piece?

You know, I don't think that I've ever read Anastasia Krupnik. I'll have to add that to my to read list. Thanks for the suggestion!
