attn writers, publishers, librarians

Here's an area that needs work: books for kids with autism -- NOT for siblings of kids with autism. And books about more than one kind of autism. Okay, to be blunt, books for my five year old son, who has Figured It Out. I suppose once he could read, it was kind of inevitable. For all I know, he reads this blog.

What kinds of books are you looking for? I'm not sure if you want books that feature kids with autism, (either labeled as such or described as such), or books that kids with autism would enjoy.

Elizabeth Moon wrote a SF book about people with autism, but that won't help for a few years (Speed of Dark).

I only know a few people with autism, and it's hard to think of books that would appeal to all of them, even all of them at age five. One kid really liked Amelia Bedelia books, although he was very serious while reading them.

Please excuse the completely off topic comment: you've been tagged for an "8 things meme"!
